FABRIC BASKETS WORKSHOP – September 24, 2019 Cost $20
Nancy Kessler, of Hidden Lane Retreat Center, Miami, Oklahoma will be teaching a workshop on how to make fabric baskets using clothesline. Class size is limited to 15 people. The workshop will be held at Hidden Lane Retreat Center.
Class participants will need to bring the following: Sewing machine capable of zigzagging; 1/2 yard to 1 yard of fabric; thread to match your fabric and a sack lunch.
Nancy will provide the clothesline and glue sticks.

SHOP HOP – KANSAS CITY AREA
Two Days: October 8-9, 2019 Three Days: October 8-10, 2019
We are going on a shop hop to the Kansas City area. Participants will have their choice of one overnight stay or two overnight stays. We will be stopping at several quilt shops along the route. Those staying two nights will visit Missouri Star Quilts on October 9. We will be staying at the Drury Inn/Shawnee Mission in Kansas City. We will also have the opportunity of visiting IKEA which is in walking distance of our hotel. Sign-up sheets are available during guild meetings. SWEATSHIRT CLASS – November 12-13, 2019
Judi Leberman will be teaching her techniques for changing a sweatshirt into a beautiful jacket. The class will be held at Hidden Lane Retreat, Miami, Oklahoma. Participants may come and go or spend one overnight. Come and go classes are $70 which includes two delicious lunches. Overnight guests will pay $115 which includes four delicious meals, plus have the opportunity to work on the class project or another item during the first evening. 2019 Bow Tie Block Exchange – Nancy Kessler will coordinate a Bow Tie Block exchange for any interested members. We will be making bow tie blocks with the a covered corner – not the square in the middle. Each participant will make 30 blocks each month from January to December, using white or white-on-white background fabric. Your blocks will be exchanged for 30 blocks made by guild members. At the end of the year you will have 360 blocks to turn into a quilt of your choice! Nancy will have a sign-up sheet at the exchange table during guild meetings.
